The Chivalry Project: A Black Book for Gents
(excerpts)

Greetings!

I have asked and polled numerous people on the subject of chivalry and have received mixed responses.

While some say it’s alive and well, others say it is dead. Yet the majority I’ve communicated with says that it does exist but it is rarely demonstrated these days.

One thing is certain, regardless of the times we live in, there’s just something about men who are kind, generous, honorable, courageous, respectful, well-spoken, mannerable, and loyal to God and to their lady.

Let’s jump in for a few of the chivalry acts in this book!

Chivalrous Act #1
Be fearless and courageous. Show your willingness to protect her at all costs.

Chivalrous Act #2
Take her hand when there is something she has to step over. Place your hand on the small of her back when you want to guide her. Hold her hand and arm when she’s walking up or down stairs.

Chivalrous Act #3
Be an active listener and empathize. She wants to be heard and understood.

Chivalrous Act #4
Find creative ways to show her that she matters to you.

Chivalrous Act #5
Based upon your knowledge of her, create an environment that makes her feel like she’s the only woman in the world.

Chivalrous Act #6
Walk on the outside of the curb so that she is away from danger.

Chivalrous Act #7
Invest in her. Cultivate and develop growth in her interests. Support her dreams, goals, ambitions, and passions.

Chivalrous Act #8
Always make the effort to be punctual. Women love punctuality. If an unforeseen incident arises that will cause you to be late, call or text her immediately to let her know you will be later than anticipated.

Chivalrous Act #9
Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. Express your inner feelings and thoughts.

Chivalrous Act #10
Humble yourself. Chivalrous men aren’t afraid to admit when they’re wrong and are quick to ask for forgiveness.

To the Ladies:

Yes, this book is written for men; however, women have a part to play in chivalry, too. Let men in your life know how you prefer to be treated. Have patience and gently encourage your spouse, son, or male friend in the right direction. Remember that you teach people how to treat you by what you allow. Understanding who you are and whose you are (God’s original master- piece) will keep you from settling for anything less than what you deserve.

Be encouraged men, and help ensure that we pass the torch of a “chivalrous gentleman” to the next generation.
