This site has made a greatly impacted in my life… For someone who has never dated or experienced being in a relationship, it helps give me the knowledge and encouragement I need to wait for the right man…despite others trying to influence me or pressure me. As a female reader, I believe a balanced perspective in relationships is important. I, like so many others have had hurtful experiences with relationships. I am at a point in my life where I have had to deal with ME and make appropriate changes so I can heal and growth and live abundantly (that is really what God wants!!!) I am so grateful I am able to receive and I appreciate and glean from WISE counsel. CVD uses and applies principles that are aligned with God’s standards. I stumbled upon Courtship vs Dating’s Instagram page during a time when I was recovering from a very vulnerable time in my life. I was already aware of my worth when it came to relationships, however, I ended up in a situation with someone that had me throw my values aside. I got out of the situation and I’m back on track to looking for a courtship with an intent on marriage. At this time, I really needed a source of inspiration and a place that gave me “real talk” when it came to relationships & dating. I found that on Rickey’s Courtship vs Dating Instagram’s page. I also appreciate that I’m part of a community who are going through the same challenges as I am as a single adult.

Being in a single season and desiring marriage can be challenging. Navigating the “dating” landscape can be daunting if approached with lack of direction. I only browsed the video clips on the page and I feel like I won a prize! This is such a great resource of encouragement. I can’t wait to delve into it I know it will strengthen me in my single season and prepare me for the blessing of marriage if that is God’s will.

I first learned about Courtship in my early twenties at church. In all honesty I thought it was a bit extreme and somewhat outdated. I loved God but foolishly I didn’t think I needed to follow His relationship guidelines. Since then I have married the wrong person and unfortunately experienced divorce. Now as a re-single I fully understand that I absolutely must follow God’s plan. Hearing Min. Rickey Macklin teach on Courtship versus Dating was so refreshing and made a huge impact on me. Now in my 30’s I am convinced that when I follow God’s plan, as so greatly illustrated by Min. Macklin, I will inherit His promise of a Godly marriage. Thank you for this amazing teaching! I believe every single man and woman regardless of age needs this teaching. If more of us adhered to the principles he outlined, we would experience more Godly love and less heartbreak. I especially loved the Pre-Courtship checklist. I will be using that while I am waiting.

We both agreed to take to the Courtship vs. Dating class to gain greater insight on the courtship process before getting married. Even though we both knew we were for each other, the class taught us what was required of both the man and the woman. As a result of the class, we both agreed to separate ourselves for a time to fast and pray for clarity from God. In 2015, we will be celebrating 8yrs of marriage.

This message is so timely. I purchased your book, “The Chivalry Project” for myself and to share with my 25 yr old son. This is a subject I am passionate about and would like to develop a program at the University where I work to bring manners back to our young men. I believe it starts with them…if men line up and improve their standards…the women will follow. We all know women, for the most part, want to please men. Gentlemen want ladies sooo with that being the case…the results is women with more modest clothing, less filthy mouths and a respectable demeanor. My eyes are wide open now thanks to your biblical teachings on courtship. It’s amazing how much the world had me twisted. Now that I know what I know, I will not turn back. I know what God wants for me, and I refuse to settle and have it any other way. I never heard the term “courting” until I fell upon your page (a friend of mine liked one of your posts and it showed up in my newsfeed on fb), so then I went directly to your page and fell in love!! It’s the truth, it’s real talk, and nothing is sugarcoated. I’ve made many mistakes in the past because of lack of knowledge but now I know the truth. I’ve shared what I learned on this page with my other girlfriends and even suggested they like your page. Some have, and some aren’t ready yet. I pray that men (since they are the leaders) really understand courting because they are not in their position and it’s sad. I am a divorced single mother of a 11 year old boy and I am already teaching him some things… So thank you for that! Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication. You are changing lives and in turn, changing our futures!
